To help you make your bidet choices easier, I’m going to be taking you through some of the leading bidet manufacturers. I’ll try to share everything you need to know about the company, their products, and what makes them different. Once you have all this information, then you can decide if they are the brand for you. Today, we’re going to be looking at TUSHY, a relatively new brand in the bidet market, but one that’s making a serious splash.

About TUSHY
TUSHY is a US-based bidet company that was started in 2015 by Miki Agrawal. They call themselves “toilet crusaders” who are fighting for clean bums and reduced global wastefulness.
The brand was started after the founder became aware of the vast amounts of waste that is produced by people going to the toilet and using toilet paper.
In fact, the average American uses 57 sheets of toilet paper every single day! Rather than spending money on all this toilet paper, TUSHY is encouraging Americans to adopt a more European habit – using a bidet.
With a TUSHY bidet, the average user will only use around 1.3 gallons of water. This is in comparison to the 55.5 gallons of water that someone not using TUSHY will use.
This is because it takes up to 37 gallons of water to make one roll of toilet paper – considering most people will get through almost 2 rolls every week, that’s a lot of water!
Aside from all the benefits that come with using a bidet, TUSHY is different because they try to give back as much as they can.
Each TUSHY bidet that is bought helps to provide clean toilets for deprived communities in India – so they’re doing good for your bum, and other people’s too!
The company is also involved in different carbon offset initiatives to combat climate change. Currently TUSHY supports three projects listed in the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) program.
TUSHY’s Main Bidet Products
TUSHY offers two main bidet products: a bidet attachment and a bidet seat.
1. TUSHY Classic 3.0
TUSHY’s best-selling bidet attachment – the TUSHY classic – starts at just $129 (at the time of this writing) and can fit all standard toilets. The attachment is extremely easy to install and does not require any additional electricity or plumbing to get it up and running.

Any customer can install the attachment to their toilet themselves by unscrewing their toilet seat, attaching the TUSHY, connecting it to the water supply, and then putting their toilet seat back on.
The device cleans your butt using fresh water and has a slim design that makes it almost unnoticeable on your toilet seat.
2. TUSHY Spa 3.0
For those that don’t see the appeal in a cold-water bidet, TUSHY also offers a warm-water version of the original bidet – the Tushy Spa 3.0. This attachment is the same as the regular TUSHY but has warm water too.

Note that in order to enjoy warm water, your toilet must be near a sink to connect properly to your bathroom’s hot-water supply. So make sure – before you buy! – that the warm water bidet hose supplied with the bidet attachment is long enough (in this case 9 foot) to reach the hot water valve under the sink.
3. TUSHY Ace
The final model is the TUSHY Ace Electric Bidet Seat. This offers the best TUSHY experience and features temperature control, a heated seat, and an air dryer. This added luxury does come at a higher price point, with the electric seats costing $599 (at the time of this writing).
Although this is a whole seat, it still can be installed by anyone. It fits both standard and skirted toilets and needs a grounded, three-prong outlet to function.
All that customers need to do to get this installed is to turn their water off and remove their toilet seat and replace it with the TUSHY.
The brand also provides all the additional equipment that someone would need, so there’s no need to spend even more money on tools and equipment.
More TUSHY…
Alongside their standard bidets, TUSHY also sells a range of other toilet and bidet-related products for customers to enjoy.
The TUSHY Travel
Just because you’re out and about doesn’t mean that you can’t still enjoy all the benefits that come with using a bidet. The TUSHY Travel is a portable bidet that can be taken with you wherever you go. It’s a collapsible and expandable piece of equipment that can be discretely stored in your bag and pulled out when needed.
You simply fill the portable bidet up with water and manually squirt it when you’re in need of a clean. So, wherever you are, you never have to go without the squeaky clean feeling you get when using a bidet.

The TUSHY Ottoman
Did you know that your pooping position could be stopping you from getting everything out? With the TUSHY Ottoman toilet stool, you use the stool to raise your feet up so you’re in the optimal pooping position.
The small stool is discrete enough to be stored anywhere in your bathroom and can be quickly pulled out whenever you need it.
It’s designed with a comfortable curved feel and promises to elevate your next pooping experience, literally!

Final thoughts
According to TUSHY, there are a whole load of reasons why you should be using their products – mainly because, according to them, “wiping your butt with dry toilet paper is SO 19th century”. Using a TUSHY means that you’re only using 1 pint of water to properly wash your bottom and less toilet paper reducing your carbon footprint.
You’re saving paper and water, but you’re also protecting your butt from potential infection and disease – wiping with paper or wet wipes is surprisingly the cause of 30 million cases of hemorrhoids, UTIs, anal itching, and yeast infections every year.
For people who want to start using a bidet, the TUSHY attachment is a great model to start with. It requires minimal effort when it comes to installation and is effective at cleaning your butt after going to the toilet.
And remember it’s money well spent! Alongside doing good for people’s bottoms, TUSHY donates a portion of their profits to build toilets in poor communities across India in their “One TUSHY = One Toilet” give back program.
