Unboxing the Neo 185 – “a seal on the box for quality assurance”
The box arrived in good condition with no damaged or missing items. The included components are high-quality steel and plastic, which is reassuring given the low price point.
The first thing you’ll notice about the Neo 185 is the packaging’s design. It’s clean, modern, and eye-catching. Any vulnerable ends were carefully insulated with plastic caps and the supplies were well-wrapped in plastic for additional protection while shipping.
There is a seal on the box that lets you know this product is in fact brand new and has never been used before. I hadn’t even considered the fact that this could be a concern with an attachment that goes on your toilet, but it’s a nice touch.
This is a very personal item and I certainly wouldn’t want to use something that someone else has already used. Kudos to Luxe Bidet for taking this extra step!
Installing the Neo 185 – “a breeze and took less than ten minutes”
Installation was a breeze and took less than ten minutes from start to finish.
The bidet attachment kit comes with 6 pieces total, and you will only need 4 for installation. This includes the Neo 185 Bidet Attachment base, the cold water metal T-Adapter, a 15″ cold water bidet hose, and a wrench.
The additional 2 items include Teflon tape and an additional wrench. The Teflon tape is a nice addition because it ensures there are no leaks around any looser seams or joints. The extra wrench is also appreciated in case you need it, although I didn’t have any issues with the first one.
All of the pieces fit perfectly and snugly into place. You’ll need a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the screws as well as a towel for any small water leaks but that’s it!
I was able to complete the installation without any issues or previous experience. However, if you do run into any trouble, the included instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Luxe Bidet provides excellent installation videos as well. Basically it comes down to these 9 easy installation steps.
Using the Neo 185 – “extremely impressed with its performance”
Now that the installation is complete, it’s time to test it out! To use the Luxe Bidet Neo 185, simply adjust the settings to your preference using the knob on the side.
There are two main settings: “Women” (feminine wash) and “Wash” (rear wash). There is also a third setting called “Nozzle Cleaning” which does exactly what it sounds like. This is a great feature that will ensure that your bidet attachment is always clean and bacteria-free.
The “Women” setting is designed for a gentler wash, while the “Wash” setting is a little more powerful. My wife helped me test the “Women” setting and she found both settings to be effective and gentle, but you may have a different preference.
The “Women” setting has a narrower flow of water which allowed for more control and a more targeted cleanse. It also had the best aim. There was no leaning or adjusting required on her part, which made the process all the more simple.
The “Wash” setting has a larger range when it came to its sprayer. This setting aims to get a larger surface area cleaned, but also makes it harder to control the directionality of water. Expect to get a little more wetness on your bum with this setting on.
Adjusting the water pressure also made a big difference in the experience. If the pressure is too low, it can take a while to get the job done. If the pressure is too high, it can be uncomfortable.
I found that the sweet spot was somewhere in the middle (pressure setting 2 or 3). It allowed for a powerful and efficient cleanse without being too harsh on delicate areas. Over time, your pressure preferences may change, so having an attachment that has adjustable water pressure is key.

The Neo 180 has the same features as the Neo 185. The only difference is the way how you adjust the water pressure. The Neo 185 has a large dial to adjust water pressure, while the Neo 180 uses a moveable lever.
2. Neo 320 = Neo 180 + Warm Water Connection
The Neo 320 has all the features of the Neo 180/185. The main difference is that this model also houses a hot water connection, a definite must-have for a lot of buyers.
The attachment connects directly to your home’s hot water supply. So double-check – before you buy (!) – whether the supplied 10-foot warm water bidet hose is long enough to reach the hot water valve under your sink.
3. Neo 185 Plus = Neo 185 + Improved Self-Cleaning + Simplified Installation & Maintenance
The Neo 185 Plus is an upgraded version of the Neo 185. The self-cleaning mode has been improved. It flushes debris off not only the bidet nozzles, but also the guard gate as well, giving your bidet a 360° thorough clean.
Thanks to the new design the bidet can now be installed without fully removing the toilet seat. You only have to loosen the seat by unscrewing the nuts just enough so that you can slide-in the U-shaped adjustment plates.
The new design also allows you to flip the bidet up and out of the way for direct access to the toilet bowl and nozzles making your bidet and toilet more easier to clean.
